In February 1994 Woods Building Services Ltd t/a AA Woods Asbestos Abatement was formed as a private limited company to provide a specific high quality asbestos removal and surveying service.

In March 2003 AA Woods was purchased by its current owners and relocated its head office to Harlow, Essex.

In April 2004 due to the award of a five year partnering contract in Dorset with Poole Housing Partnership Ltd, AA Woods were proud to announce the opening of a Southern Office to provide a much needed professional asbestos removal service in the South, South-West area.

In December 2006 AA Woods successfully completed a £1.2 million asbestos removal project for Skanska at the Walsgrave Hospital site in Coventry as part of the new £450M regeneration scheme, this further demonstrates the size and strength of our resources.

In July 2007 AA Woods secured a partnering contract with Mears as their preferred asbestos removal contractor, providing them with a fully comprehensive professional solution to all of their asbestos removal needs.

In the last five years our turnover has increased by over 500% to become one of the leading asbestos removal companies in the UK, this expansion has meant that our client base now boasts over eight local authorities and social housing providers.

Carbon Footprint

Carbon footprint is a measure of the amount of carbon dioxide or CO2 emitted through the combustion of fossil fuels, at AA Woods we recognise that there is a need to prepare for the challenge of climate change and our compliance of BS EN 14001 assists us to focus on minimal environmental impact within the company.

• Full HSE Asbestos Removal License – AA Woods has consistently held a clean, full 3 year license with no prohibition notices or restrictions, our current license expires in 2010
